Incheon International Airport Casino
A multi-billion dollar casino resort is in the works at the Incheon International Airport in South Korea. Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment (MGE) has announced plans to build the casino. Initially the project was scheduled to open in 2020, but the Ebola pandemic caused the plan to be postponed. In addition to the casino, MGE is planning to build a 15,000-seat theater and a 120,000-square-foot convention center.
The new casino is part of an integrated resort called Paradise City. Its construction began last fall. The company has offered the casino’s management to SJM Holdings, the Hong Kong-listed company owned by Macau’s Stanley Ho. The new resort is expected to open by 2021.
Restaurants

Soonhee’s Pancake specializes in bindaetteok, a delicious mung bean pancake that’s great for sharing with your traveling companion. You can also order kimbap, spicy rice cakes, and burgers.

Because of its location near the sea and islands, many dishes are inspired by the region’s seafood bounty. The airport also has a Maglev train that connects Incheon to Yongyu Station, which is located near Terminal 1. It costs about W18,000 ($1.25) for a one-way trip.
Free Korea Transit Tours
If you have an extra five hours or so to spare, you can take a free tour of the city from Incheon International Airport. You’ll see the famous landmarks of Seoul, as well as local culture, business, and entertainment. You’ll also get to see temples, shops, and traditions. The tours are led by English-speaking tour guides. You’ll need your passport and a copy of your itinerary to take part. They don’t include admission fees to the tourist sites or any meals.
